Cyshimi | Viviane Lee Hsu (1998)
Chinese and Taiwanese Brazilian artist based in São Paulo.
Their work explores themes of identity, body, and beauty through a focused research on nails. For Cyshimi, nails are symbols of resistance, empowerment, and subversion. Their creations emerge from personal taste, aesthetic obsession, and a constant drive to experiment, and they exist in the tension between vanity and art, fashion and the body, surface and depth. Cyshimi sees each nail as a new world, built from shapes, colors, and textures that, when assembled, transforms those who wear and see them.
